So, you want to become a successful entrepreneur. But you might be asking yourself, which business strategy do I choose?
There are so many choices out there and an abundance of so-called experts pushing a different philosophy, which it can be very difficult to narrow down a business strategy that will actually work.
However, when you remove all of the fluff and break the entrepreneurial strategies down to the basics there are only three that make up nearly all of the entrepreneurial ventures that are currently out there. Which one you choose will depend on your personal preference, your distinctive skills and where you perceive to be a hole in the market.
The first of our three top strategies is to provide some type of service. If you are in a profession that provides a service that can be packaged as a marketable service, you can become an entrepreneur in your field of expertise. For example, graphic design, freelance writing, bookkeeping, etc.
Another strategy in online entrepreneurship is affiliate marketing. With the creation of affiliate marketplaces like Clickbank, the affiliate programs offered by leading retailers like Amazon and the big profits that could be potentially earned, affiliate marketing is one of the most popular entrepreneurial ventures today.
In affiliate marketing, you as the affiliate find the customer; drive traffic over to the seller to buy their products and the seller pays you as an affiliate a commission for sending that customer. Of course, the main task is to find the right product or service and have a solid plan for getting that traffic to the company Website.
The other Strategy is marketing your own information or physical product. In this strategy rather than being the person that receives the commission when someone buys a product owned by someone else, you on the other hand become the person customer buys from.
You could create an information product of some kind that you’ll be able to sell online. With information products, you can sell anything from eBooks, videos, audios, tips, classes, (there are many opportunities). When it comes to physical products, you can create one or sell an already existing one and get it shipped to customers (there are companies that would hold the inventory and handle the shipping at a cost).
These three strategies can also be combined; you don’t have to just stick with one. There are no rules when it comes to the type of online business one chooses to start. If you can create something that sells and succeed at it, there are endless possibilities to where your efforts will take you.
